Is my camera playing tricks with me?
Manhattan looks beautiful from across the river in Brooklyn. This
photo however still remains a mystery. When it was taken, a moon-like
figure appeared on the photograph. If you look closely, it resembles
a danish 1 kroner coin.
This is how to create a Photoshop image without using photoshop! No
seriously, I find it intriguing but strange at the same time. Oh well.
I am off to Washington DC now, adding another dot to my map of explorations.read

Morta
This here is the lovely miss Morta. She's named after the Roman goddess
of sleep. Morta is a fairy of high ranking with the ability to do good
as well as evil. Eventually she'll be coloured. I'm having decision
issues with her hair. Blonde would be nice, but red could also be fitting.
Anywhoo, when i finally colour her, i'll post that. I hope it comes
out well. Coloured pencil can be such a bitch but there's no possible
way to paint this piece..read

Hi Everybody..
I
want to review for what I have post so far.....I hope that I give you
good things. And I am really sorry if there was something you don't
like and made you feel no good. And I want to thank to all that gives
me comment. All really good comment and this make me happy and want
to post more. But I want to make apology also for who had given me comment
but I never reply them. It is not because I didn't want to. It was because
I have short time doing all post, drawing etc while I also had main
activity, working, and now I am concentration in course. But maybe next
time I try to reply all.
Well,
for al of my drawing, I am not professional, I just tried to express
my self, just made drawing and didn't care if it is good or bad. I want
to let you judge. And so for it was ok. I just feel that I want to enjoy
my self in doing this, made one creation, sharing with you all, got
comment ... that's enough. I feel happy as I feel happy when making
all post. I want to make my blog as my place to put my imagination while
everybody can see. I couldn't make a masterpiece creation that at the
end can be put in the...read

This
Artist's Place
Just getting on with it quietly... I was going to leave it at that
but perhaps I should offer some small explanation of why I am here
and what I want to say. I make art because I have to, its always been
that way. It is often challenging and the outcome is never certain
but I like that. I make art as a counterpoint to the chaos and confusion
that I see in life and the world around me. I like the turbulence
of the natural world and the obvious metaphores to be found there.
It is something that I want to reflect in paint, print or whatever
medium I am working in and the process often acquires its own energy
and dynamic. I love colour and texture. I hope my work has an integrity
that people will like and would want to display. And I hate Artist's
Statements.

Portfolio
Updating
Fern fronds unfolding in the sunlight.
They looked as though they were chatting happily amongst themselves
in a queue.
But
that was whilst walking yesterday and today I want to portfolio some
of the images I have been working on in the last 6 months or so. I
have been putting it off for ages but it has to be done and it's usually
beneficial because I always find something to go back and reconsider
and work on again in a new frame of mind.
I have also accumulated quite a lot of digital work now that needs
to come out of the laptop and into some kind of presentable format
and CD.
To the kitchen first to organise the domestic front and then let battle
commence..read

"Storm
at Sea" by J. Chatham
Water, rhythmn, reflection of light and energy on sand and
water
are things I love. I have always been fascinated with how light deepens
in water and dances from wave to wave. In seascapes I attempt to capture
transcent moments in time and keep them vibrant, active and distinct
without disturbing the mood.
Although
I've painted numerous seascapes in oils, pastel, water color and gouche',
"Storm at Sea" is the first print of a seascape i've created.
It is available for framing in sizes which mat (interior mat size)
to 8"x10' and 10 1/2" x 16 1/2".
Storm
at Sea is also available in cards packaged 10 cards with envelopes
per box. (Retail $15.)...read

The Adventures of Zombo
People
associate summer with a lot of things like refreshing halo-halo, ripe
mangoes and trips to the beach. But what I love the most about this
two-month break is how it inspires the funniest "family projects".
This
year, my brother started things off by deciding to document our trip
to Phuket through the experiences of Zombo - a plushie doll of a corporate
man turned into the terrifying undead...read

Work
In Progress (Chickadee) Update #7
Finally - some attention was paid to this little
guys' feet, tail and wing. I may be done with his wing, but I haven't
decided for sure yet. (Probably not). His tail isn't finished, and I
have had to deal with some stubborn grain in that area. I am also negotiating
some stubborn grain where his feet are. His feet are definitely not
complete. I have done some more branch work, (more background branches).
I haven't yet decided if I am done adding branches or not. Maybe just
one more faint one in the area between the chickadee and the bottom
of the piece, so the long diagonal branch that's going up and off into
the upper right corner isn't slicing the picture in two. I do know I
will not be adding any branches to the right side because my chickadee
is moving into a little open clearing. Some branches need to be smoothed
out and I need to tidy some of them up. I also will be thinking about
which ones may need to be darkened up a bit. I am hoping to complete
this piece by the end of next week. But I can't make any promises!...read
